MALVERN BATTERY
2nd SOUTH MIDLAND BRIGADE
ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY

The following photograph shows members of the Malvern Battery. The Malvern Battery was the Brigade Ammunition Column, but also had two guns before the war began. It is understood that the Malvern and Kidderminster Batteries were closely linked, both being designated the 2nd Battery (later B/241). It is not known, however, if the Kidderminster Battery also had two guns or whether it had a full complement of four. If you have information on this aspect of the brigade's complement, I would be pleased to hear from you.

None of the battery members in this photograph are known by name. Please contact me if you can identify anybody.

If you have any information at all that would extend our knowledge of the Worcestershire Royal Artillery batteries at the time of the First World War, please send us an e-mail
